The coin „Sitting Bull” was struck on blanks of Ag 925, in low mintage – up to 6,000 pieces, in proof quality.


Obverse:
In the central part – the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the mint’s mark (m/w). Around it – ornaments with Indian’s symbols

. At the top – an inscription: NIUE ISLAND. On the left – an inscription: ELIZABETH II. On the right – the year of issue (2010). At the bottom – the face value (1 dollar).

Reverse:
On the left – an image of Sitting Bull in relief. On the right – an image of dancing Sitting Bull, depicted in pad printing technique

. Below it – the years of life (1831-1890). On the right, along the rim – an isncription: SITTING BULL.

 

 The coin “Alexander the Great” coin was struck on blank of Ag 925, in low mintage – up to 5,000 pieces, in proof quality.

Obverse:
In the central part of the coin a decorative motif taken from a vase painting, well known from the Alexander the Great times, showing fighting hoplites.

At the top, the image of Her Majesty Elizabeth II, and the mint’s mark (m/w), surrounded by a Greek ornament. At the sides, semi-circular inscription: NIUE ISLAND (issuer).

At the bottom the  face value: 1 DOLLAR.

Reverse:
In the central part of the coin the image of Alexander the Great – the warrior, taken from preserved coins of the era, and shields featuring the leader’s coat of arms.

In the background, in the pad printing technology, the commander’s army in the Macedonian phalanx formation.

At the top, an inscription in English language: ALEXANDER THE GREAT, at the bottom, years of Alexander’s life: 356-323 BC


The coin „Hannibal Barkas” was struck on blanks of Ag 925, in a low mintage – up to 5,000 pieces, in proof quality.

Obverse:
At the top of the coin, in front of the Carthaginian buckler- the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. In the centre – the face value: 1 Dollar.

On both sides – images of war elephants, that Hannibal was using during his military expeditions.

On their heads – protective armors, which are decorated with zircons in the shape of teardrops. Under the elephants - the mint’s mark (m/w) and the alloy (Ag 925).

 

Reverse:
In the central part of the coin – the images of warriors astride elephants. In the background – the line of the Alps, through Hannibal conducted his army to Italy.

Below – the years of life of the commander “247-183 BC”. At the top – an effigy of Hannibal Barkas, taken from an ancient coin. The inscriptions: on the left “HANNIBAL”, on the right: “BARKAS”.

 TSARSKOE SELO 2012 Five Silver Coin Set

 

A rare set of 5 silver commemorative coins "Tsarskoe Selo" is an imperial estate comprising a number of palace buildings set within a park,

dating back to the turn of the 18th century a magnificient moment of imperial Russia. It is one of the most exquisite residences built in the Russian baroque style.

Initially intended to be a resting ground for members of the Tsar family, since the rule of Empress Elizabeth (1741-1791) the Tsarskoe Selo became the residence of imperiors.

 OBVERSES:

In the central part of each coin - the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the incriptions - ELIZABETH II, NIUE ISLAND (issuer), the mint's mark,

2 DOLLARS (face value), 2012 (year of issue), Ag 925 (alloy of silver).

REVERSES:

The central coin - the image of the front gate of the Catherine Palace.
The left coin - the effigy of Empress Elizabeth in pad printing technology.
The right coin - the effigy of Emperior Nicholas II, the last tsar who was in residence before the October Revolution.
The top coin - the image of the front elevation of the Catherine Palace.
The bottom coin - the image of the eastern front elevation of the Cameron Gallery.
Each irregular coin is decorated by rococo ornament and an insertion of amber stylized as the decorations of the Amber room in the Catherine Palace.
